The i-102 model represents a new quality in the world of rallying. The service has been significantly changed and the menu has been divided into different sections. The basic parameters can be set in the Configuration menu, while the measurement mode settings are available in the new menus directly from the measurement mode. As a result, each measurement mode has its own dedicated menus, such as Drive Mode Menu and Regularity Mode Menu, which can be called up directly from the measurement window by pressing the [MENU] button.

The most important functions of the i-102 tripmeter

The i-102 model represents a new quality in the world of rallying. The service has been significantly changed and the menu has been divided into different sections. New features have been added to the tripmeter:

• the possibility of changing or correcting the coefficient during measurements, the change may affect the distance traveled from the start or be active from the moment of change
• OS section recorder saving section parameters to a file: speed, maximum speed, distance, time
• no item called Start screen, which means that the tripmeter is always in measurement mode,
• screen in Regular mode
• screen in tripmeter mode have been designed in a new layout, ensuring readability and intuitive navigation.

Road measurement function – the basic task of the tripmeter

The i-102 tripmeter is an advanced device that provides reliable and precise road measurements, while offering additional functions and configuration options to meet a variety of rally requirements.

The road measurement is carried out:

• through one or two sensors of any design
• the sensors are controlled all the time during the measurements – the control results can be seen without using the menu
• sensors can work in different configurations: sum, faster wheel, slower wheel
• in case of sensor failure, it can continue measurements using data from the GPS module

• driver displays:
  tripmeter offers the possibility of connecting a driver’s display, which can display any measured parameter. Thanks to this, you can adjust the display of information to your own preferences and needs.
• delete buttons:
  one- or three-button resetters can be attached, which enable quick deletion of measured data or resetting of specific parameters. These buttons make it easier to operate the rally computer during the competition.
• function switches:
  additional function switches can be connected to the tripmeter for faster operation. They are used to quickly switch between operating modes, set parameters or call specific functions.

Precise measurements from sensors

The tripmeter has two independent inputs for connecting road sensors of any design. To ensure the precision of measurements, the inputs can work in different configurations:

• one input works with one distance sensor
• one input with one road sensor works, a backup sensor is connected to the other input, so that in the event of a failure it can be changed quickly
• two inputs with two sensors are working simultaneously. The tripmeter performs simultaneous measurement from two sensors mounted on the right and left side of the vehicle, which increases the measurement precision.

When using two sensors, you can also set the tripmeter to calculate the distance from:

• wheel that generates more impulses, e.g. if you have sensors on the rear wheels of a front-wheel drive car and the car can lift the inner wheel when cornering, select the SUM>>FASTER item in the menu
• wheels that generate less impulses, e.g. if you have sensors on the front wheels of a car with front-wheel drive and the car can “spin” the inner wheel when cornering, select the SUM>>SLOWER item in the menu

Measured values:

Measurements of the short road TRIP and the long road ODO can be presented in one of three resolutions selected by the competitor using the tripmeter

• TRIP road: 1 m, ODO road: 1 m
• TRIP road: 10 m, ODO road: 10 m
• TRIP road: 10 m, ODO road: 100 m

The resolution of the ODO road distance indication also affects the value of its correction

• ODO path: 1 m, correction: +/- 1 m (each press of the correction button)
• ODO path: 10 m, correction: +/- 10 m (each press of the correction button)
• ODO distance: 100 m, correction: +/- 100 m (each press of the correction button)
