On/Off

After switching on the power supply (inserting the fuse, switching on the planer, switching on the additional switch), the tripmeter is ready for operation.
The tripmeter does not have a power switch.
In positions not related to measurements, in the absence of voltage on the yellow wire (ignition switch), the tripmeter turns off the screen.
Due to the non-volatile measurement memory that works even after the power is turned off, turning on the tripmeter can cause two independent states.
After turning on the power of the tripmeter that was turned off from the start screen – it will automatically start measuring.
After turning on the power supply of the tripmeter, which was turned off when it was taking measurements, it will continue them.

Option update

To update the options of the H-101 tripmeter, you must first have the current version of the software. You can then install an option update that is provided by the manufacturer. Copy the options file to a flash drive. We recommend that there is no other data on the flash drive and formatting is done in the FAT32 file system with default allocation settings, etc.

  • bring the tripmeter to the start screen position
  • insert flash drive
  • wait for the File ok confirmation to appear.

Firmware update

Firmware update is the process of updating the software. You can obtain the current versions of the software from the manufacturer. The software update does not change the purchased options. The firmware is secured by encryption.

To update the software:

  1. press MENU for a few seconds to bring the tripmeter to the home screen position
  2. when starting from the home screen [- – – -] skip step 1
  3. turn off the power to the tripmeter
  4. insert the flash drive into the tripmeter’s USB port
  5. power on the tripmeter
  6. 4 short beeps will confirm the detection of a new program version
  7. wait for the tripmeter to turn on (max. 30 seconds)

In case you don’t get 4 beeps after turning on the power:

  1. check if you copied the file
  2. check that the file name is still: firmware.bin
  3. change the flash drive to another one, possibly format it (FAT32, default allocation settings)
