Treat the tripmeter on a par with every part of your vehicle. The tripmeter requires correct assembly and configuration. Read the manual, do a test drive during which you will learn how to use and at the same time learn the functions.
In training, do not hesitate to experiment with settings – you may find a better configuration than the one you are used to.
Starting measurements from the start screen
- press RUN, which will cause the values of measurement parameters set on the displays to flash – ready to start
- press CLR briefly to start measurement
The rest of the instructions assume that you have started measurements, the displayed parameters do not flash, and when you drive, the distance and other parameters are added.
Deleting short distance (TRIP/PARTIAL)
- press the CLR button briefly.
Long distance correction (ODO/TOTAL)
- press the arrow to correct the distance.
The correction value is related to the measurement resolution settings |H-100| Configuration >> Tripmeter settings, and it will be 1m, 10m or 100m.
Entering long distance values (ODO/TOTAL) – full correction
- press the OK button to call up the editing screen – the display (segment C) will show the ODO/TOTAL long route indication and one horizontal line next to the route indication
- use the arrows to increase/decrease the digit value
- use the OK button to move the edit field to the right
- when you want to go back to the previous digit (left) press CLR
- when you finish editing, use the OK button to move the edit field “off the screen” and it will save
Deleting long distance (ODO/TOTAL)
- press the OK button briefly until the ODO/TOTAL value starts flashing, then press the OK button again briefly to clear the value
Adjusting the brightness of the display
- Press the Light button on the housing to adjust the brightness of the tripmeter display.
Changing the parameter displayed on the displays

Even though you can assign a measurement function to each of the measurement modes in the tripmeter settings, the H-101 tripmeter has the ability to change the parameter displayed in a given display segment.
- press MENU 2 times briefly, which will cause the values in Segment A to flash. Press MENU briefly to switch between segments
- use the arrows to select the parameter that is to be displayed in the selected segment
Changing a parameter through this function will remain in effect until you go through the start screen or change mode.
Preview of the parameter name displayed in the display segment
- long press the LIGHT button to display the names of the parameters displayed in each window. The names will disappear after a while without you having to press anything.
Changing the calibration factor during measurements – only when the MULTIk parameter = ON
If you use MULTIk mode, you can select the calibration factor from the ones saved in the tripmeter’s memory.
- press the CAL button briefly
- browse the calibration coefficients saved in memory with the arrows
- when you find the coefficient you want to use, press OK briefly
Active factor correction during measurements
When you observe, during measurements from speed sensors, a constant difference between the tripmeter readings and the road book, this difference may result from imprecise calibration. You can quickly correct the value of the active calibration factor.
- press the CAL button twice briefly
- in the top line you will see the active calibration factor flashing
- press the arrows to change its value
- then press OK briefly or leave flashing to accept
Hint. Decreasing the coefficient value causes the tripmeter to calculate more distance, increasing it causes the tripmeter to calculate less distance.
Changing the sensor input during measurements
- press the CAL button until the P1 and P2 diodes start flashing. They will flash approx. 10 s and then you have time to change the sensor inputs
- pay attention to the colors. The sensor whose LED lights up blue while blinking will remain on
- while flashing, press the CAL button successively to switch inputs, which is indicated by the blue color overlapping the flashing red one.
- you can choose combinations:
- P1 – flashing blue, counting from input 1
- P2 – flashing blue, counting from input 2
- P1 + P2 – both flash blue, counting from both inputs, summing the pulses.
- once you have set the appropriate input, wait until the LEDs stop flashing
- Your selection will be accepted
