Switching on/off

After the metrometer is powered on (inserting the fuse, turning on the heb, turning on the additional switch), it is ready for operation.
The metrometer does not have a power switch.
In positions that are not related to measurements, when there is no voltage on the yellow wire (ignition switch), the metrometer extinguishes the screen.
Due to the permanent memory of measurements that works even after power off, turning on the metrometer can cause two independent states.
After powering on the metrometer, which was switched off from the position of the start screen – it will automatically start measurements.
After powering on the metrometer, which was switched off when it realized measurements – it will continue them.

Rules for navigating the tripmeter menu:

Starting measurement from the start screen

Function operation and button usage in basic mode

  • When you see the start screen on the metrometer screen
    – press the RUN button (displays will flash as a sign of readiness to start)
    – press the CLR button, which will start the start of measurements

Function operation and button usage in advanced mode

  • When you see the startup screen on the metrometer screen
    – press the RUN button (the displays will flash as a sign of readiness to start)
    – by pressing the UP or DOWN and OK buttons briefly enter the TIMER time value
you enter the time in gg:mm:ss format, e.g. when you enter the value 10500 it will mean 1g05m00s
    – if you don’t want to enter the TIMER time press OK
during measurements the TIMER time will count from the value 0
  • press the OK button long
    – by pressing the UP and DOWN buttons and OK button short enter the value of DELAY
you enter the time that will elapse from pressing the button that starts the measurement to the actual start of the measurement in ss format, for example, when you enter 10 it will mean 10 seconds to the start of the measurement, that is, 10 seconds to prepare the start.
  • press OK button for a long time ( displays will flash as a sign of readiness to start)
  • press CLR button briefly which will start the measurement
  • Start measurements from the standby screen
    – press CLR briefly, which will start measurements from the standby screen
  • Deleting the short path
    – press CLR briefly, which will delete the TRIP short path
  • Switching between Commute, OS and Azimuth modes

Reset to factory settings

To reset the H-101 metrometer to factory settings, follow the steps below:

  1. switch off the power supply to the tripmeter
  2. press the CLR and OK buttons simultaneously and hold them (until further notice)
  3. switch on the power supply of the tripmeter
    • the tripmeter switches on normally by beeping 4 times
    • then beeps twice as long
    • restarts (release buttons)

Note: Resetting to factory settings will result in the loss of all data and user settings.

Updating options

To update the options of the H-101 metrometer, you must first have the current software version. An option update can then be installed, which is provided by the manufacturer. Copy the options file to a memory stick. We recommend that there is no other data on the memory stick and the formatting is done in the FAT32 file system with default allocation settings, etc.

  1. bring the tripmeter to the position of the start screen
  2. insert memory stick
  3. wait for File confirmation ok.

Firmware update

A firmware update is the process of updating the software. You can obtain the latest software versions from the manufacturer. Updating the software does not change the purchased options. The firmware is secured by encryption.

To update the software:

  1. press MENU for a few seconds to bring the tripmeter to the start screen position
  2. when starting from the start screen [- – – -] skip point 1
  3. switch off the power supply to the tripmeter
  4. Insert the memory stick into the USB connector of the tripmeter
  5. switch on the power supply of the tripmeter
  6. 4 short beeps confirm the detection of a new programme version
  7. wait for the tripmeter to switch on (max. 30 seconds)

In case you don’t get 4 beeps when the power is switched on:

  1. check that you have copied the file
  2. check that the file name is still: firmware.bin
  3. change to a different memory stick, possibly format it (FAT32, default allocation settings)
