Tripmeter H-51 azimuth routing function support

The manual describes the operation of the buttons.

Azimuth routing configuration

Creating an azimuth file on your computer

Using Notepad, create a file named rcmini.txt. Each line of the file corresponds to one waypoint routing point.
A line consists of :

  • The number of the grid (in the example below these are numbers 9,34,67)
  • Course to the destination (in the example below the values are 341.1, 160.9, 100.9)
  • Distance to the target expressed in meters (in the example below the values are 3659, 900, 1400)

Example:
9=341.1/3659
34=160.9/900
67=100.9/1400
Save the file to a flash drive.

Copying a file to the tripmeter

Bring the tripmeter to the start screen position, and then insert the pendrive into the tripmeter’s USB connector. Copying will take place automatically and will be confirmed by the text File ok.

Communication settings on your Garmin device

Set up your Garmin device so that the serial port provides bidirectional data transmission.

  • Data format: NMEA IN/NMEA OUT
  • Transmission speed: 4800

Garmin functional configuration

The first time you send a waypoint to your Garmin device, a waypoint called RCMINI will be created in its memory. Use the Garmin menu to select navigation to this point. Each subsequent sending of the traced waypoint will automatically change its parameters.
It looks like this, for example: select waypoints menu, select waypoint RCMINI, select drive. On the map we see a purple line from the point where we are to the destination point.
