The i-102 represents a new quality in the world of rallying. The operation has been significantly changed, and the menus have been divided into different sections. Basic parameters can be set in the Configuration menu, while measurement mode settings are available in new menus directly from the measurement mode. As a result, each measurement mode has its own dedicated menu, such as the Commute mode menu and the Regularity mode menu, which can be called directly from the measurement window by pressing the [MENU] button.
Key features of the i-102 metrometer
The i-102 represents a new quality in the world of rallying. The operation has been significantly changed, and the menu has been divided into different sections. New functions have been added to the metrometer:
- the ability to change or adjust the coefficient during measurements, the change can affect the distance traveled from the start or be active from the moment of change
- OS episode recorder saving episode parameters to file: speed, top speed, distance, time
- no position called Start Screen, which means the metrometer is always in measurement mode,
- screen in Regularity mode
- screen in Metrometer mode, have been designed with a new layout for readability and intuitive navigation.
- has a built-in clock synchronized with GPS time
- has two trip meters
- controls the time and route of each section of the rally
- has the ability to correct the road based on Readbook on all or selected
- does not calculate and check the average speed.
Distance measurement function – the basic task of a metrometer
The i-102 metrometer is an advanced device that provides reliable and precise road measurements, while offering additional features and configurability to meet a variety of rallying requirements.
Measurement of the road is carried out:
- through one or two sensors of any design
- Sensors are controlled at all times during the measurement – the results of the control can be seen without using the menu
- sensors can work in different configurations: sum, faster wheel, slower wheel
- in case of sensor failure, can continue measurements using data from GPS module
Expandability of the device
- built-in ultra-fast GPS module
- function RECORDER OF THE STAGE – allows automatic measurement of times on OS sections
- REGULARITY function – allows measurements in rallies on the regularity of driving sports and vintage cars
Durability – one of the advantages of the tripmeter
Welded steel case:
Provides rigid construction and high resistance to mechanical damage.
Structure and attachment points:
Allows you to permanently attach the meter to the vehicle.
Impact resistance:
Accidental impacts to the meter will not affect its operation.
Limited dust and water resistance:
The case is not resistant to dust and water.
Additional features
- can count or count the way
- can correct the road manually from the buttons or based on the description from the Roadbook
Available accessories
- driver displays:
metrometer offers the possibility to connect a driver display that can display any measured parameter. This allows you to customize the display of information according to your own preferences and needs. - erase buttons:
one-button or three-button resets can be attached to quickly erase measured data or reset specific parameters. These buttons make it easier to operate the rally meter during competitions. - function switches:
additional function switches can be connected to the metrometer to speed up operation. They are used to quickly switch between operating modes, set parameters or call up specific functions.
Precise measurements from sensors
The metrometer has two independent inputs for connecting road sensors of any design. To ensure the precision of the measurements, the inputs can work in different configurations:
- works one input with one way sensor
- works one input with one way sensor, a backup sensor is connected to the second input to make an instant change in case of failure
- two inputs with two sensors work simultaneously. The tripmeter takes simultaneous measurements from two sensors mounted on the right and left sides of the vehicle, which increases the precision of the measurement.
When you use two sensors, you can also set the metrometer to count the distance from:
- the wheel that generates more pulses , for example, if you have sensors on the rear wheels of a front-drive car and the car can lift the inner wheel in the corners, in the menu you select SUMA>> Faster
- the wheel that generates less pulses , for example, if you have sensors on the front wheels of a front-drive car and the car can “buck” the inner wheel in corners, in the menu you select SUMA>> SLOWER
Measured values:
Measurements of the TRIP short path and ODO long path can be presented in one of three resolutions, which is chosen by the competitor using the metrometer
- TRIP road: 1 m, ODO road: 1 m
- TRIP road: 10 m, ODO road: 10 m
- TRIP road: 10 m, ODO road: 100 m
The resolution of the ODO path distance indication also affects the value of its correction
- ODO distance: 1 m, correction: +/-1 m (each press of the correction button)
- ODO distance: 10 m, correction: +/- 10 m (each press of the correction button)
- ODO distance: 100 m, correction: +/- 100 m (each press of the correction button)
